Another early start, and off to the station to catch the train to Casablanca. Train tickets in Morocco are really good value, so we booked first class. The difference between first class and standard being that in each cabin in standard class are 8 seats, and in first class you have 6. The train ride Fes to Casablanca was around 4 hours long, and the first class ticket cost around £12.
Casablanca's, for want of a better word, main attraction is The Hassan II Mosque or Grande Mosquée Hassan II Arabic: مسجد الحسن الثاني nickname: "Casablanca Hajj".
Despite not being able to go inside the Mosque (closes at around 4pm most days) I found the visit to be so peaceful, it's next to the Port so you hear the waves crashing in.
I think Casablanca gets a bit of a bad rep, everyone told me not to spend much time there, as its more of a business City, but I still found the place to be really interesting. That said, we'd only booked to stay for one night, off to Marrakech in the morning...
