Last month I went to visit one of my best friends who lives and works in Athens. She surprised myself and another friend with a weekend in the beautiful beach town of Glyfada (Greek: Γλυφάδα).
Glyfada is just an hour from central Athens on the tram. An affluent area, home to many of Greece's millionaires and celebrities, stretching from the foot of the Hymettus mountain to the Saronic Gulf.
The area is full of cafes, restaurants, boutiques, pools and bars. Thus, we spent the weekend relaxing, eating and drinking - the perfect girls getaway.
