BD Trade Secrets - Radiant Bronze Dream Shimmer Highlighter Review

I've been wanting to get on the highlighter bandwagon for quite some time now, but a lot of palettes I've tested in the shops have been a little too iridescent for me, or the bronzer has been that bit too dark for my pale skin.

What it says on the box: This shimmering highlighting powder will illuminate your skin for a radiant celebrity glow. Sweep a brush into the collective colours and apply to the top of your cheekbones or your entire face. Use colours individually over eyes for a shimmering touch.

I hate to admit it, but I can get a bit stuck in my ways with my makeup, and be a bit of a brand snob so I was very pleasantly surprised to find that BD's Trade Secrets Dream Shimmer Highlighter (exclusive to Tesco) was the perfect tone for my skin. The palette contains 4 beautiful shades; Chocolate plum (I'd only dab my bronzer brush in this one post holiday tan - as above),  Golden bronze, Pastel pink and Soft shell.

I think the thing to really take note of when following the highlighter trend, is that less is most definitely more - and to apply in natural light. Not only will this ensure you have the perfect amount of product applied, but it'll also make your palette last longer! Oh, and perhaps don't take this on nights out, as it can be all too tempting to keep applying more product and you might end up looking a little drag-esque, and under flash photography you'll just be a giant glowing face.

At just £7.99 and exclusive to Tesco, this palette is a real bargain - and has a similar feel to a lot of the most popular NARS shades. The lightest shades pastel pink and soft shell are perfect for dabbing on the inner corner of the eyes and opening them up for a summery shimmer. 5/5!
